In Loving Memory: Honoring the Life of a Strong, Loving Wife and Mother

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Sue Faville, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her strength, warmth, and unwavering love. She walked into the arms of Jesus on August 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.

Born on May 9, 1951, Sue embraced life's challenges with determination and grace. Her strength was an inspiration to all who knew her, as she navigated life's twists and turns with an unyielding spirit. A devoted wife of 46 years, she and her beloved Tim shared a bond that served as a shining example of enduring love and commitment. Their marriage was grounded Christ, they trusted in God’s faithfulness to weather life's storms together. Sue was devoted to her family, raising seven children with boundless love. Her legacy extended to her 20 grandchildren, who were blessed to experience her warmth and wisdom. She shared her faith in Christ with them, teaching them the importance of a relationship with Jesus and the power of prayer.

Among Sue's many passions, her devotion to prayer, love for her family, and love for gardening stood out. Her garden was a sanctuary where she found solace and joy, working diligently with her hands in the earth and watching birds. There she spent countless hours in prayer.

Sue loved to draw and always wanted to share her art as a way to encourage others and share the love of Jesus. She always wanted to uplift others through her kind words and selfless acts. Her home was a haven of laughter, love, and open arms, where friends and family were always welcomed with open hearts and warm smiles. Her legacy lives on in the stories, memories, and values she imparted to her loved ones.

A memorial service to celebrate Sue’s life and her abiding faith in Jesus Christ will be held on September 9, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home in Salem, Oregon. As we say our farewells, let us remember her as a woman of unshakable faith, and rejoice with her that she is finally home!

Messages of Sympathy

  1. Laura Geier (Atkinson) says:

I got to know Sue while going to Labish. I have special memories of her when she would open her home for crafting and scrapbooking. She always had pictures of all the boys playing basketball or goofing around...bible quizzing and social events. She usually had a good joke in any given happenings and a quick wit. You are a special family and I am so sorry for your loss.
