Obituary

Mary Ellen Mirestes (Luyet), 74, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on November 5, 2023, with her family by her side.

Mary was born November 27, 1948, In Memphis, Tennessee to Gus Mirestes and Betty Jones Warhurst. 

February 20, 1966, she was married to her Husband, Raymond Luyet for 57 years.

Mary was a food service worker and private chef for the priests at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and school. Mary loved sewing and knitting blankets for her many grandchildren as well as for children in need. She always thought of others before herself and was one of the most devout Christian women. She had the gift of bringing all her loved ones together.

Mary is survived by her husband, Raymond, her daughters, Angela, Michelle, Catrina, and Dawn; her 9 grandchildren; her 7 great grandchildren; her 7 sisters and 2 brothers; and many, many friends and family.
