Obituary

David Oscar Theodoriches was born on September 30th, 1968 in Hood River, Oregon to Sharon Maureen Stack and David Robert Pearson. Oscar passed away on February 11th, 2021 in Salem, Oregon peacefully in his home. Oscar fought through the pain for so many years and wanted to be there for his family and friends. In his final days, he was accompanied by his three children: Alitrise, Dre, and Ben along with his two sisters: Melannie and Teresa.

Oscar spent most of his career working within the dairy business. Oscar began working at Sunshine Dairy Foods back in the early 90’s. Oscar left Sunshine Dairy Foods early 2010 before they closed. Oscar would later find his way back to the dairy business at Umpqua Dairy in 2015. Unfortunately, Oscar had to medically retire in early 2019. Anyone who knew Oscar knew he loved to wake up every morning and go to work. Interacting with people and creating that humorous interaction is what made him such a personable individual. It was so difficult for Oscar to accept the circumstances of not returning to work. Oscar always turned a negative into a positive and found a new job…being at home, enjoying all his favorite hobbies and spending time with his family and close friends.

Oscar had many hobbies which included painting, drawing, wood & rock carving, glass etching, and many more artistic related topics. Oscar always loved to stay close to home but would certainly not want to lie around the house and be unproductive. There were always improvements to be completed around his home.

Oscar is survived by his Father: David R. Pearson his Children: Ben Theodoriches, Alitrise Theodoriches, and Dre Soderstrom, Oscar’s Sisters: Teresa Parish, Melannie Cleveland, Wendi Miller, and Karen Clark, Granddaughter: Lillian Soderstrom, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Oscar joins his mother in endearment.

Messages of Sympathy

  1. Peter G Franks says:

Oh Oscar! So glad to have met and known you. You welcomed me into yours and your children's lives. I am forever grateful, dear friend! The chats in the garage, showing me the projects you'd done and all the work around the house. Ribs on the grill and home-made biscuits too. A great and unexpected friend! In our texts you always called me "my friend" or "buddy". Well, right back at you, a hundred times over! Sleep well Oscar

  2. Alitrise Theodoriches says:

    Dad,
you were my bestfriend... the one person in my life who believed in me most, and the one person in my life who never failed to make everything better. Late night car rides jamming to our favorite rapper NF, going grocery shopping at midnight, all of our Dutch runs together, and of course our 3am crying sessions down in the garage are all things I miss doing with you so much, and they are all things I will never forget. I remember the last thing you said to me “I will love you forever and always” and then a couple days later you passed.
I know you’re in a better place, living it up, being a hustler, and of course drinking some Coca Cola.
Rip dad, until I see you again
    I love you
