Obituary

Robert Lee Kilmer was born July 21st, 1980 in Deadwood, South Dakota. He is the second son of Dannie Aasted (formally Glenda Barstad Kilmer) and Stephen Albert Kilmer Jr. He was the second oldest out of 5 other siblings. He moved to Oregon when he was 18 months old. Robert was a smart kid who liked to laugh and enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-man, and Legos as a child.

During Robert's school years, he lived in Salem, and Sweet Home, Oregon. He moved to Nebraska when he was 18 and then moved back to Salem when he was 20. Robert became a father at 19. His son will say he was a loving father who was stern and steadfast. He pushed you to be the best you can be. He always believed in people and the ability they have.

Robert started working at Bryant Tree Experts not long after he moved back and in 2008 he went to work for R&R Tree Services, Inc where he worked for 11 years and became a licensed Arborist. Robert enjoyed hiking, camping, hunting, woodwork, the outdoors in general.

Robert is survived by his Mother-Dannie Aasted, Father-Stephen Kilmer, Brother's-Bryon Kilmer  and Dustin-Bryant, Sister's-Brandy Kilmer Braniff, Robin-Kilmer Hartley, and Brenna-Aasted. Lastly, his son Kyrnin Michael Clark, Girlfriend Monica Oriza, and dog Jack. Robert left us on July 21st, 2019. He will forever be missed and loved.

Robert will have two services. One for family on Friday August 9th, 2019 at 2pm, Crawfordsville Union Cemetery. After which, a luncheon to celebrate Robert's life will be held at the Point Restaurant in Sweet Home.

The second one is being held for everyone and is on Saturday August 10th, 2019 at 12pm, at the Detroit North day use area on Breitenbush rd. Come as he knew you, and celebrate his life with family and friends. This will be lead with a eulogy from his Son Michael who hopes others will share their stories of Robert. There may be a short hike or drive to say one last farewell.

My son and Robert met in Kidnagarden and we lived in the same apartments. Robert became part of our
family. I love himlike a son, because that what he was to me. We camped we hiked and shared so many good times, even if it was just sitting and laughing together. We haven't spent time together in awhile but the love is still there.
