Heaven has gained another angel, Gary Robert Ferschweiler was born in Silverton Oregon on March 8th, 1944 passed away March 19th, 2023 at home from complications of a stroke. Gary was preceded by death by his parents, Mary and Bernard Ferschweiler and his brother Darrell Ferschweiler. He is survived by his wife Anita, his sister Darlene Ferschweiler, his daughters Laurie Ferschweiler, Lynn Boyd (Danny), sons Todd Ferschweiler (Anja), Tracy Ferschweiler (Christine), Stepchildren Traci Saiz (Chapo), Heather Fitzpatrick (Nathan) and Thomas Mahony (Jenny). Gary was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Gary grew up in the St. Louis area where his family farmed hops. They were members of the St. Louis Catholic Parrish. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Gervais. His high school years were spent at the Mt. Angel Preparatory School.
Gary spent 44 years with NCR as a Field Engineer and retired in 2006. He loved spending time in his shop fixing things and he was well known for his organization. His favorite past time was spending it on the beach when the tides were low clamming with family and good friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 31st at St. Louis Catholic Church 14013 Manning Rd NE Gervais OR 97026. Rosary will be at 10:30am before Mass at 11:00am. Reception to follow after Mass at the St. Louis Hall next door.
Rest in peace Gary, you will be greatly missed.
