Troy Howard Roberts

Troy Howard Roberts went to sleep in Jesus on February 7, 2025 at 4:25 PM. 

Troy was the son of Tuck and Doris Roberts. He was an excellent carpenter and followed in the footsteps of his father. 

By the early age of 15 he was working side by side with him as a general builder.

Troy enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 18 years old in 1956. He served as a SeaBee in the U. S. Navy and built light construction with a rank Petty officer 2nd Class.

He served 4 years and was honorably discharged.

Over his life time. He built many homes for families, as well as provided maintenance for this church home.

He was a hard worker and made many home improvements to improve the comfort and function of the home for his family.

Troy has been a member of the Salem Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church for 24 years.

Troy is survived by his wife, Diane Poyner Roberts, two daughters: Jessie Lynn Monger of Roseburg, Oregon, Tanya Gabriel (Gary), of Kingsland, Texas; and sister Doreen Smid (Smitty) of Sierra Vista, Arizonia; six grandchildren; Jeremy Gordon; Marty, Toby, Timmy Monger; Kari Godeau, Desi Martinez, Max Martinez, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Dorthy Roberts, his first wife; Dolly Roberts, his second wife; Lisa, a daughter; a brother, Johnny Roberts.

Troy was interned at the Roseburg National Cemetery, Roseburg, Oregon on February 19, 2025.
