Ron (Ron) william Haviland
~Gone Too Soon~
Ron was born on May 24, 1966 in Beaufort, South Carolina. He died suddenly of heart failure in Salem, Oregon at the age of 53.
He left behind his wife, Noelani Sue Haviland – they would have celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on Turkey Day. His mom, Sue Roby lives around the corner and visited almost daily. His brother Shane helped him with many projects. His sister, Vickie Gonzales, Brother in law, Dennis Gonzales, daughters Amanda, Calista, Danielle, and son Eric, live in Colorado. His step daughter, Michelle, and step son in law, mike and their kids Jasmine, Isabella (preceded in death 2009) Luke and Curtis also live in Colorado. Ron’s nephew, Nathan grew close to him. At the age of 4, Nathan called Ron “The Big Guy”. When he would come to visit, Ron would set up a “treasure hunt.” He hid candy and toys for Nathan to find. Nathan would have the biggest smile! So would Ron
His dad, William (Bill) Haviland and step-mom Asako Haviland, step-sister Evelyn, and her kids live in Lancaster, California. Ron has fond memories of his step-mom. Asako introduced him to Japanese and food and took care of Ron in a loving and kind way. His father-in-law, Oscar Buenconsejo is 96 and is a WWII congressional award recipient. Ron loved to read his numerous WWII articles about his experiences. He lives in the Philippines with his wife Lisa. Most of all, Ron left behind his cats, baby kittens Mimi and Lulu, and his great possession his 92 Honda civic – go figure.
In an excerpt from “Our Daily Bread” it said that death doesn’t’ have the final say, there is something that follows: Resurrection. Paul grounds that hope in the reality of the resurrection of Christ, we will one day see those who have gone before us.
Until we see each other again my love I will forever love you.
