Monta Ray Binkely

Monta Ray Binkley was born on June 12, 1937 in Rome, Georgia, the daughter of James Otis and Gladys Adams. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter D. Binkley. She is survived by her children: Robert, Glenn, & Debora Kent; her grandchildren; her great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Monta Ray attended and graduated from Pensacola High School in Florida.

She attended many dances at the US Marine Corps base, where she met the love of her life; Peter. They were married on September 14, 1956 at a small chapel on the base. After Peter’s tour of duty from the Marine Corps they settled in Palo Alto while Peter taught at Stanford University. Eventually moving to Rincon Valley in Santa Rosa, California where she raised her 3 children and bred weimaraners.

Monty loved animals, time with her friends, travel, making delicious meals, following the Stanford Cardinal football team, and reading mysteries and romance novels.

Memorial service and Burial will be private.
