Max Taylor Elliott passed away Tuesday, July 25 2017 in Salem, Oregon after trying to fight cancer for over two years. Max was born and raised in Burley, Idaho with his older brother Durwood Lee, Younger brother Jake, who both preceded his death, and his sister Delsa who currently lives in that same area
Max is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served in the US Navy for 4 years. After getting an honorable discharge, he worked several jobs including being a carpet install/salesman and property management, but one of his favorite jobs was when he was a project manager working for a controlled environment and cleanroom construction business. This job gave him the opportunity to travel to many countries and most of these countries are part of the Asia Pacific. He was really a hard worker and wanted to keep himself busy working on small projects around the house. One of the hardest things for him was not being able to do much when he was stricken with illness.
Max leaves behind his wife Ann, their two sons; Joshua Aaron, and Robert Johnathan, and his children from a previous marriage. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews that he really cared about.
Max loved his sons’ friends who congregated at their house after school or during the weekends. He considered a lot of them as his “adopted sons and daughters” and always wanted them to feel that his home was their home away from home.
He loved fishing and used to love playing golf. He loved to read books (NO JOKE! - fiction and non-fiction) and liked collecting books until Kindle became popular. He also enjoyed driving in the countryside or backroads or toward the mountainsides with his wife, sightseeing, and just for fun. He loved his family dearly.
