Peggy Noble Evans, beloved mother and friend to so many, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
Peggy and her twin sister Patsy Noble Dickson were born to the late John and Margaret Noble on January 5, 1938. She had an older sister as well, the late Meredith Noble Cannizzo.
Peggy attended Marlborough School for Girls and received her diploma in 1956. She then went to Stephens College and received her associates in arts degree in 1958. She loved college. She majored in preschool education, was a class representative, pledged KA sorority, was treasurer, became a senior sister in her dorm and an honor guard at her graduation.
Peggy was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was 38 years sober at her time of passing. She touched so many lives of those in recovery from alcoholism and addiction.
Peggy has one son from her first marriage to Chuck Madary- Charles Merrick Madary III.
Peggy is survived by her twin sister Patsy Dickson, her brother in law Tom Dickson, her nephew John Dickson, as well as her nieces from the Dickson family- DeeDee Lansing, and Wendy Cole. She leaves behind other extended family and many, many friends.
Peggy, who was widowed, will be buried next to her late husband Richard Alan Evans at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
Peggy will be missed by all whose lives she touched in her sweet, gentle manner.
