Lois Krismeyer Parker passed away on Friday, May 26 th . Born on February 20, 1942, she was the only child of Hester English and Floyd Lewis Krismeyer. Lois was raised in Hackensack, NJ and attended Ohio State University. She earned her degree in Space and Enclosure Design and was later hired as the first female draftsman for Chase Manhattan Bank in NYC.
Lois met and married Craig Steven Parker in 1971. In their 52 years together, they moved seven times around the country. Lois was an artist, craftswoman, genealogist, and homemaker. Lois had a private business in furniture restoration and chair seat weaving. Lois enjoyed volunteering for the Presbyterian Church, 4-H, and the Willamette Humane Society Thrift Store.
Lois wrote two books, “The Copper Covenant”, an Arizona church history, and “Parent Preserves”, a family history. Lois is survived by her husband, Craig, her two daughters, Christine Parker Heyen and Carolyn Parker, and two grandchildren, Parker and Meredith Heyen. Donations in Lois’ honor may be sent to the Oregon Humane Society in Salem.
