Lindsay Reece (Taylor) died peacefully at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland Oregon on May 18 th , 2024, at the age of 46.
Lindsay is survived by her parents, Kerry, and Diane Taylor of Woodburn; husband, Gabe; children, Rogue, Stone, Gaige & Kaile Reece of Salem; and sibling, Kris Taylor of Woodburn.
Lindsay was born on August 28 th , 1977, in Portland Oregon to Kerry and Diane Taylor. She graduated from Southern Oregon University in 1999 with a degree in business. She later moved to New York, working for Daimler Chrysler. On September 11 th , 2001, Lindsay made the choice to be one of the first volunteers to respond to Ground Zero. Lindsay’s bravery and selfless actions helped save many lives that day.
Many years later, Lindsay and Gabe met at a conference in Bend Oregon and later married in 2009. After 4 years, the couple welcomed twins, Rogue, and Stone into their home.
Lindsay's children remember her as a kind, gentle, patient, and loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Lindsay was passionate about her friends and family. She was a generous and loving individual who loved life. Over the last several years, Lindsay was active in the fight against cancer, helping to raise money and awareness for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) all while battling AML herself.
The Celebration of Life is scheduled for June 1 st , 2024, at Morning Star Community Church with a reception to follow at the same location. Pastor Scott will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lindsay's life.
