Laura Lynn Warren

January 25, 1959 — February 16, 2023

Laura Lynn Warren passed away on Feb. 16, 2023.  She was surrounded by family and left this earth in peace.

Laura is survived and missed by the love of her life, best friend, and husband of 30 years, Patrick Warren. She also leaves behind 6 children: Carrie, Tyson, Shelley (Michael), Daniel, Tara (Nick), and Sammo (Haley).

She will always be remembered and cherished by her many grandchildren: Jaygen, Bryce, Katie, Alyssa, Maddie, Lily, Shaylee, Savannah, Daniel Junior, Piper, Skylar, Charlie, Abigail, Cruz and Tadhg, as well as her great grandson Troy.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ruth McGregor, as well as her older brother, Robert McGregor. She was the baby of 6 children and she leaves behind siblings David, Kathleen, Susan and Carol.

Laura was born in 1959 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where she lived most of her life. Laura married the love of her life and best friend, Patrick Warren, on December 1996. Together they raised their 6 children and the Pomeranian pups they got throughout the years.

Laura received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2005. She returned to school at the age of 42 to pursue her dream of being a nurse, and she excelled. Her family was so proud of her accomplishments as a student and then in the medical field. Some of her greatest joy came from her career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. There was nothing she loved more than the smell of a new baby.

Laura also loved watching the Oregon Ducks and reading books. She often pointed out that she had read her favorite book, Gone with the Wind , dozens of times. She had dreams of writing a book one day.

Laura loved music and was a talented piano player. She couldn’t hold a tune but loved to sing and would often sing to her children and grandchildren. They will never forget her rendition of “You are My Sunshine.”

Her favorite place to escape was the Oregon coast. She spent a lot of time there throughout the years, playing on the beach and creating memories that her family will always cherish.

What Laura’s family will remember the most is her dry sense of humor and her easy laughter. She was passionate about the ideas she believed in; when she did something, she did it with vigor, be it following politics or collecting bird pictures or her beloved bird clock.

Laura was a dedicated and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and nurse, and she will be so greatly missed.

She will not have a service, but has instead requested that her remains be scattered at the Oregon beaches. Her family will do this in a private ceremony in the near future.

Condolences, cards, and flowers can be sent to her daughter’s house (Tara Arter)at the address of 3012 NE 173rd, Ridgefield Washington.
