Julie A. Epton-Cook

Julie was born in Yakima, WA to William and Janet Epton. Growing up in Bellingham, WA she graduated from Sehome High School in 1983. Moving with her family to Salem, OR attended Chemeketa Community College graduating with a A/S degree in 1990. Transferring to Willamette University she graduated with honors in 1992 receiving a B/S in Sociology with a minor in Music. After graduation she worked at the Marion Home in Sublimity until illness forced her to quit working. She married John “Jack” Cook in 1991 and is survived by him. She is also survived by her brother Chris Epton of Anchorage, AK. An accomplished pianist, Julie loved music. Her other interests included gardening, reading, anything having to do with animals and nature. She loved trips to the coast and to Silver Falls State Park. Donations in her memory can be made to the Turtle Ridge Wildlife Center or to Salem Friends of Felines.
