Joey Daniel Lee Tavares

Joey Daniel Lee Tavares was born 1975, and was called home to be with Jesus Christ at 44 years of age.  We will miss him, but know that his suffering has ended.  God has a plan for each of us, and Joey’s was to be in Paradise with his Savior at his young age.  Joey was a Faithful Servant, and had a deep faith in God.  He will be remembered for never hesitating to “give the shirt off his back” if needed, by many co-workers and immediate family.

Joey and his wife Stacia and daughter Faith owned and operated J&S Dump Trucks, Inc., reaching out into the greater community of Salem, Oregon to serve and call many their friends.  Joey strived to be a friend to all, and always had a smile for those he met.  He was fun-loving, and never met a stranger.  His work ethic and overall honesty was incomparable.  Devotion to Stacia and Faith was always 100%.  His legacy will continue with wife Stacia, daughter Faith, and son-in-law Conner now providing this trucking service, and free dispatching for the community.

His dad Joe Tavares has passed on, and was lovingly remembered by both Joey and daughter Faith, who called him Papa Joe.

Joey also is survived by his Mom, Sue Johnson, and two brothers, David Tavares and Doug Tavares.

We want a true Celebration of Life, and will have an open-casket viewing from 1:00-3:00 pm on October 17, with the service to follow shortly afterwards at 3:00 pm.  We ask that you plan to wear a mask to provide protection for all during the current pandemic, Covid-19.  We also ask that social distancing be done as much as possible.
