Harold Gordon Vickery was born in Los Angeles, CA on July 7, 1949 as the oldest of three children. His family soon moved to Arcadia, CA for his father to start a family store. As a child, he loved to play baseball and work on cars.
He graduated from Fresno State University where he met his wife of 17 years. After marrying his college sweetheart, he moved to Silverton, OR and brought two girls into the world, Sara and Stacy. He was an avid outdoorsman and taught his two daughters to be explorers through fishing, hunting and backpacking.
Harold owned his own business, Silverton Select, and sold Christmas trees in Tracy, CA every season for over 30 years. He was very proud to be his own boss just like his father.
Harold lived big and had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, hiking, drag racing and volunteering at a shooting range.
He left this life with both of his daughters at his sides - Sara Kunkel and Stacy Vickery (both graduates of Silverton Union High School). He is survived by two sisters, two daughters and three grandchildren. Go live big, Dad. We love you.
