Fay Ann DeMeyer-Aunspaugh, a beloved figure and devoted servant of God, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, in Salem, Oregon, after bravely fighting a one-year two-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on August 9, 1954, in Long Beach, California, and lived a life dedicated to her faith and the service of others.

Fay had a profound impact on many lives through her work and ministry. She served as the Executive Director of Development at Connections365 and was a director at the Impact School of Life Ministry at Connection Life Church. Additionally, she was a youth leader at West Salem Four Square Church and held the position of Christian Counseling Chair at New Hope Christian College. Her dedication to education extended to her role as an adjunct faculty member at Chemeketa Community College. She was an ordained minister in the ministry of Christ and the word of God.

A lifelong learner, Fay's educational journey included graduating from McNary High School in 1972, studying at Western Oregon University in 1991, and obtaining her psychology degree at Chemeketa Community College the same year. She further pursued her passion for education with a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Oregon in 1997, culminating her academic endeavors with a focus on Educational Leadership and Administration at the University of Phoenix in 2008.

Fay was also the host of the radio show "Oh the humanity!" at KYKN and the Fayday Show, where her vibrant personality shone through, bringing joy to her listeners. Her passion for inspiring others was evident in her interactions, as she had a unique ability to inspire and touch the hearts of individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Those fortunate enough to meet Fay often left her presence with a renewed spirit and a strong desire to be part of her extraordinary life.

She was deeply in love with her husband, Dan Aunspaugh, sharing a bond that was the foundation of her strength and joy. Fay is survived by her husband Dan, her children Jason O Olson, Joshua K Olson, Shannon E Paulsen, and her step-children Tony Aunspaugh, and Joy Schulte. She was also a loving grandmother to her granddaughters Callie J and Madilyn M Paulsen as well as step granchildren Hadden and Paisley Aunspaugh and Grason, and Conrad Schulte. She cherished her role as a godmother to Daniel and Shanna Hethorn and their children Audrey, Eliana, Dax, and Penelope.

Fay is remembered by her siblings Grace Burch, Mary Pollard, Sonny Pollard, John Labandeira, and Matthew Labandeira. She is also survived by her foster mother, JoAn Scheyer, and was predeceased by her foster father, Harold Scheyer. Fay enjoyed the warmth of family bonds as expressed through her relationships with foster siblings and family Paula and Dan Fontanini, Joe and Linda Scheyer, Robert and Lois Scheyer, and Malinda and Tom Dye

She was a Christ follower who demonstrated her faith in Christ through the service of others. A woman madly deeply in love with her husband Dan Aunspaugh. She lived to worship and serve God even in the most difficult moments of her life. She touched thousands of lives in a wide array of cultures, conditions, and locations. Those who came to meet Fay experienced love and joy in her presence. Most often, what they took away was a strong desire to seek the Lord and to be a part of Fay's life thereafter.
