Donald George Clark, born October 31, 1939 in Pocatello, Idaho died April 9, 2018 in Salem, Oregon.
In 1978 he married Rose Marie (Lerma) Clark, who had been his high school sweetheart, and remained devoted to her the rest of his life.
He is also survived by his daughter Ruby Janeva Ann Clark of Texas, Rose's children Debbie Zeigler of Roseburg, Oregon, Kenneth Polley of Reno, Nevada, and Vickie Davis of Fort Wayne, Indiana, five
Grandchildren, and his sisters Mary Furman of Sparks, Nevada and Joyce Combs of McMinnville, Oregon.
Donald was raised in Reno, Nevada and joined the Navy after graduation from Reno High School. He retired after a 21 year career and took great pride in having served his country. He then went back to school to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree. He enjoyed many hobbies including photography, rocks and minerals, lapidary and fine arts. He was a member of the local fine arts club and taught lapidary at the senior center.
Donald was baptized May 14, 2002 into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and became an elder of the church in 2003. Elder Clark was a Home Teacher and Ward Missionary and enjoyed his work for the church, which was an important part of his life.
