Connie Smith, age 75, fell asleep in death, Sunday May 13, 2018, after enduring the results of leukemia for eleven years. Her memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 975 Mildred Ln SE, Salem, OR Tuesday may 22, 2018 at 7pm.
Connie was born, January 10, 1942, in Ashland, Ohio to Harlan and Rosemary Hartsel, and resided in Ashland, OH, Rivera Beach, Fl., Stuart, Fl., Jacksonville, AL., Greenville, SC., and Salem, OR since June 1, 2009.
She enjoyed reading, camping, fishing, and spending time with her family of three children: 2 boys 1 daughter and a husband of 53 years. Her greatest joy however, was teaching people, that soon the last enemy, death, would be brought to nothing. 1Cor. 15:26. And enjoyed doing this daily, until a combination of tuberculosis, leukemia and a stroke limited her activity. Her ending joy was sharing the apostle John's feelings, that "no greater joy do I have than this: that I should hear that my children are walking in the Truth".
