Charles Lane Bradshaw passed away at the age of 73 on November 20th, 2018 at his home in Stayton, OR. Chuck was born on February 2, 1945 in Silverton, OR to the late Ruth Lenore Rabens and Charles William Bradshaw. He grew up in the Silverton Hills until the age of 15 when he moved to Stayton (Coon Hollow), OR and graduated from Stayton Union High School in 1964.
Chuck enlisted in the United States Navy in 1965 and served two duties during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Forrestal and the USS Kitty Hawk, RVAH-11, Reconnaissance Attack Squadron (Heavy), Checkertails.
He married Rebecca Alexander in Walhalla South Carolina on December 17th, 1968. Chuck worked as an Aviation Structural Mechanic for the department of Defense the majority of his life, and also logging. He was a great outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, arts, and was an expert wine maker.
Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Becky, son Michael Bradshaw and his parents Ruth and Willard Rabens and C.W. Bradshaw. He is survived by his son Christopher Bradshaw, and granddaughter Justina Bradshaw, and siblings; John Pownall of Seattle, WA. Susan Brown of Salem, OR, Pat Lackner of Lyons, OR, Joe O'neal of Aberdeen, WA and Caroline King of Salem, OR.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Johnson Funeral Home, Salem, OR, Saturday, December 15th at 2:00 PM. A full military honors burial will be Monday, December 17th 2018 at 12:30 PM at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR.
