Obituary

On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, Tony Richard Mack, loving husband, father, and grandpa, passed away at the age of 50. Tony was born on April 1, 1969 in Haines, Alaska to Larry and Linda Mack.

He received his Associates degree in mechanical drafting and at the time of his passing, he was a truck driver. On April 1, 2006, he married Sonja Alice Miller. Tony and Sonja had five children they raised together - her daughter Ashley King and son Alex Karr, as well as his three sons, Timothy, Thomas, and Tyler. Tony was preceded in death by his father, Larry, his mother, Linda, and his sister, Angela Magner. He is survived by three grandchildren, Kloe, Claire, and Charlotte King, his brother Wayne Mack, sister Candi Green, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews.

Tony was a hard working family man, with many hobbies and plans for the future. Although quiet at times, he was energetic and animated when talking about fishing, kayaking, or science fiction. He took the time to share these special hobbies with his children, and also enjoyed playing video games with them. His kids will remember his sense of humor and taking fishing trips with their dad. Tony taught his boys the value of working hard, no matter the circumstance. Tony had old fashioned values, he held the door open and liked long drives in the country with Sonja. Since the children had all grown up and moved away, Sonja and Tony had plans to travel, buy a home, and to finally get his shiny new red kayak.

Tony was absolutely devoted to his wife and family, and he will be missed beyond measure by all who love him.
