Obituary

Ryan Michael Goodpasture passed away May 11th 2022 after a very brave battle with cancer.

Ryan cherished his friends and family. These connections were paramount for him. If you were his friend, you were his family. Ryan had a knack for finding people’s quirks and virtues and celebrating them.

Since his passing, his friends and family have spoken about Ryan and all share similar sentiments of a kind generous man with a brilliant unique spirit who was incredibly intelligent and ridiculously funny.

Ryan was a cat whisperer and had an affinity for connecting with kids. Ryan loved to dance, barrel down trails on his bike, build and tinker, travel, and to be with those he loved just experiencing life.

Computers, electronics, and writing code became his second language and passion in high school. He worked many years in the field for ODOT and Thetus.

To be around Ryan would put a happy jolt in your chest. With his goofy, loving energy he was unlike anyone any of us have ever known.

Ryan will be missed, loved, and remembered forever.

Details for a sushi feast in his honor will be announced in the near future.

I have some really fun memories with Ryan. Life-changing moments, really. We climbed Mount Saint Helens together in 2002 when I was new in Oregon,to commemorate a big milestone, and you can imagine the shenanigans. Nothing but love for that man. He will be missed.
