Ronetta Belle Watkins was born to parents Robert and June Garrett in Salem, OR on February 27, 1939. Roni attended Hayesville, Parrish, and North Salem High School. Roni married her high school sweetheart in September of 1957.
Roni and Carl “Doug” Watkins were married over 60 years. They were blessed with four children; Kori Muth, Dana Wells, Wendy Brandt, and Darth Watkins. They had numerous grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Roni was an accomplished artist and sold many of her paintings. She was a very outgoing and loving person with many, many friends. She never met a person she didn’t like. She enjoyed life and liked to travel and meet Friday nights with her friends at the Keizer Elks.
Services for Roni will be held at Johnson Funeral Home (134 Missouri Ave S, Salem, OR 97302) on Friday August 3, 2018 at 11AM. Following services a reception with light desserts and drinks will be held at the Keizer Elks.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies. My heart goes out to the family. Death is something we will never get use to. In fact, God's Word refers to death as an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26). Very soon our loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, will remove death once and for all and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again here on the earth.
