Obituary

Marilou Marie Mayer entered the presence of our loving Savior Wednesday October 27, 2021.

She truly lived her life for the Lord. She made it a priority to tell her family, friends, and others about Salvation. I am confident this is the time she would want you to reach out to us if you do not know our Lord’s saving grace.

She had 6 amazing grandkids and could easily turn any conversation into a bragging session.  She was the biggest kid in the room and was, more often than not, the instigator in most of the grandkid’s trouble making plans. Loud, obnoxious toys…..those were definitely from grandma and she always purchased a second for herself so she could play too! She didn’t think twice about spoiling their dinner with a Snoopy snow cone or just one more pull on her many M&M’s dispensers.

Marilou was at her happiest around children. She loved her daughters and their spouses, Yvonne and Spencer Crume and Jennifer and Bill Anderson. Kaitlyn, Emily and Preston Crume and Lillian, Rylie and Liam Anderson were the joy of her life! To know Marilou was to feel loved, accepted and cherished. To remember Marilou brings a smile and a laugh at her tenacity, childlike whimsy, and stubbornness.

To honor Marilou, we invite you to join with us in a celebration of her life on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11am at Bethel Baptist Church 5220 Center St. Salem, OR. Followed by a party at her request!  To the many loved ones and friends who are near and far, we will be Livestreaming the service at BBCSALEM.com

In loving memory of Marilou, donations to the Children’s Bus Ministry of Bethel can be made by mail or at BBCSALEM.com (please note Marilou in the comment)  She was so excited about this new ministry opportunity to bring the children to Jesus!

Remember me in your heart:
Your thoughts, and your memories,
Of the times we loved,
The times we cried,
The times we fought,
The times we laughed.
For if you always think of me,
I will never have gone.
