| Marilou Marie Mayer entered the presence of our loving Savior Wednesday October 27, 2021. She truly lived her life for the Lord. She made it a priority to tell her family, friends, and others about Salvation. I am confident this is the time she would want you to reach out to us if you do not know our Lord’s saving grace. She had 6 amazing grandkids and could easily turn any conversation into a bragging session. She was the biggest kid in the room and was, more often than not, the instigator in most of the grandkid’s trouble making plans. Loud, obnoxious toys…..those were definitely from grandma and she always purchased a second for herself so she could play too! She didn’t think twice about spoiling their dinner with a Snoopy snow cone or just one more pull on her many M&M’s dispensers. Marilou was at her happiest around children. She loved her daughters and their spouses, Yvonne and Spencer Crume and Jennifer and Bill Anderson. Kaitlyn, Emily and Preston Crume and Lillian, Rylie and Liam Anderson were the joy of her life! To know Marilou was to feel loved, accepted and cherished. To remember Marilou brings a smile and a laugh at her tenacity, childlike whimsy, and stubbornness. To honor Marilou, we invite you to join with us in a celebration of her life on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11am at Bethel Baptist Church 5220 Center St. Salem, OR. Followed by a party at her request! Aunt Marilou, you were such a special person in my life with your frequent visits when I was growing up. You always had a smile and a story to tell, and you always made me laugh. I have many memories, and you will live on in my heart. I love you.
We always had a special connection with Miss Marilou. I loved to see her smile! Her sense of humor was wonderful too. She was always so sweet and kind towards our family. She will be very missed. Heaven is getting sweeter every day.
I will always remember your mom! She was so kind. So sorry for you all, praying for comfort from God’s Holy Spirit. ❤️
