Messages of Sympathy

I knew of Kevin from being from a rival high school. He graduated a yr prior to me so he went to TVCC first. When I arrived I had no plans to play football but I had played in high school. I was watching the team practice one day and the head coach came up to me and said that Kevin had told him I was a heck of a player. The rest is history. I got college paid for, and a acquired a new great friend. We always rode together on the bus for road trips. Boy was he smitten when He and Rosemary got together. I didn’t see him much after that. You were my hero back then and you always will be.

  2. Joshua Mullins says:

I can still hear his voice carrying a cadence tune for OSP Recruits to march to. It was a pleasure having known Kevin Myers. I pray his family is comforted at this time of loss.

  3. David Martinez says:

I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin while trying to gain entry to the pre-academy front door when becoming a recruit. I'll never forget that first or SFC Myers. I had more than a few conversations with Kevin, mostly about the Army. SFC Myers you will be missed.

  4. Ken Terry says:

Grandpa Myers-They broke the oversized mold when you left us. You were a mentor to me on MRT and helped me gain perspective on more than one occasion. To say you will be missed does not begin to cover it... See ya at the Pearly gates when I hit 97, we will knock out 10 together.

  6. Ed Stallard says:

I knew Kevin when he worked for the Lincoln County Sheriff's office, before he went to the dark side (OSP). Just kidding Kevin. His sense of honesty and integrity was unquestioned throughout his career. Rest in peace Kevin.

  7. Lee Farmer says:

I am very saddened with the passing of Bubba. He and I worked closely together at DPSST, making sure the OSP recruits recognized the special place all State Police/ Troopers hold in their respective department and the communities they serve. Bubba was first and foremost a defining figure both physically and mentally. He is surely, and sorely, missed. The final change of duty station, my friend.

  8. Elden Alexander says:

I had the pleasure of working both narcotics and as a bomb technician with Kevin. He was always an inspiration and fun to be with. RIP brother in Blue.

  9. Placido Lopez says:

Mrs. Rosemary Myers, I am so sorry for your loss. Kevin was so dear to so many Oregon State Troopers. His dedication and mentorship went beyond normal expectations.
