Obituary

On December 30, 2020, Joseph Paige, incredibly loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away at home. Joe was born in Beverly, Massachusetts to Robert Chute and Theresa Chute. Joe deeply touched the lives of those around him and is loved by many. Joe was preceded in death by his father Robert Chute. He is survived by his wife Jamie, daughter’s Robin, Chandel, and Ashley, grandchildren Joshua, Jessica, Nathan, Toby and Annabella, sister’s Debbie and Jennifer, brother’s Craig, Marc, Daniel, David, Rick, Tony, Edward and James, and mother Theresa.

Joe dedicated his life to taking care of his beautiful family and building a legacy devoted to the Lord. Joe was a model machinist at Rockwell Collins/ Collins Aerospace building intricate parts for the aerospace industry for over 25 years. He received numerous awards from his company for his hard work and years of dedication.

Joe loved playing basketball and spent his free time teaching his daughter’s how to play and coaching their basketball teams. He enjoyed golfing, surfing, rock concerts, spending time with his wife and family, helping raise his grandchildren, taking care of his animals and loved the beach like his second home. Being from Massachusetts, Joe was a devout New England Patriots fan and loved attending games with his wife Jamie. Joe was baptized on March 31, 2013, together with his daughter Ashley, and began his journey of serving the Lord with his family.

In March of 2020, Joe was diagnosed with stage four cancer. He chose to fight the cancer as hard as he could by undergoing various chemotherapy treatments and radiation. He remained incredibly brave, courageous and optimistic throughout his nine-month battle.

Joe was such a friendly, kind-hearted, loving and generous man. He was always there when you needed him and took care of others first. Joe was a man of many jokes and he loved laughing. He made it a priority to make others smile and laugh in all circumstances, also. Joe was a role model for his children and their children, and his legacy will forever carryon.

Messages of Sympathy

  1. Marie Breen, Ireland. says:

I deeply regret that I did not get to met you Joe, but through your devoted daughter Chandel, I came to know you. To see her deep love and adoration for you said volumes about the type of man you are. To hear how tender and warmly you loved your grandchildren spoke to the depths of your heart. Your dedication to your beloved Jamie is something we can only hope to emulate. I am truly sorry for the vast void your absence has left in your family. Your legacy is in your children and your grandchildren. Rest in peace now Joe. My love and thoughts are with Chandel and Family, to Jamie, Robin and Ashley, your Mum and all your Family.

  2. Daniel Hyatt says:

When you lose a family member, not the least a brother, it is hard to put into words the feelings we experience.
In this case I found a quote that I think says what I and many of us feel.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear
    We love you Joe.

  3. M. Phelps says:

I am so very sad to hear of Joe's passing. My condolences to the family. Joe was an awesome person with an amazing personality and will be miss by all who knew him. RIP, my friend.

  4. Kim Lind says:

My deepest sympathy to Joe’s family. I enjoyed all of my lunch room conversations, and all of the Patriots gear! So glad they had some awesome seasons for him. Rest In Peace.

  5. Lynne Oppegard says:

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Joe for over 20 years. Joe was so kind, generous, loving and supportive to everyone he met, and especially to his family. He always had a story to tell and he could always put a smile on my face. He was so devoted to his Grandson Josh, and he would bring him to work on Saturdays to hang out with Grandpa. I would bring “the boys” donuts and would hang out and visit with them. To say that he was a Patriots fan would be an understatement....he sure loved Brady and had no shame showing it! I can still picture Joe bopping up and down the hallway and I will always be looking for him. Joe was a shoulder for me to lean on when I suffered a devastating loss and for that I am forever grateful. He was a true friend to the end. I am sending good thoughts and virtual hugs to his family, please know in your hearts that Joe touched many people and he will be forever missed. He was a wonderful person who leaves a trail of memories. Rest in peace Joe.

  6. Richard and Jo Etta Binkley says:

Joe was our neighbor in the park. My wife Jo Etta and I didn't know him well, But he was always friendly and kind. A good natured man. I know he had faith in God so we can in the Bible at 2Corinthians 1:3,4 gain comfort. Hope to know him better in the resurrection.

  7. Marc Hyatt says:

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to see my brother Joe this year on a trip I took to Oregon. A few days before Christmas, Joe and I spoke on the phone for an hour. We talked about family history of all things. Joe loves family. We talked about how important our families are and how that he will always be with all of us, especially his family. I want the Paige family to know that families are eternal and that you will all see Joe again one day. Death is not the end but only a step in the great plan that our Heavenly Father has for all of us. I love you all. May the Lord give all of you peace and understanding in this time of need.
