Obituary

On December 30, 2020, Joseph Paige, incredibly loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away at home. Joe was born in Beverly, Massachusetts to Robert Chute and Theresa Chute. Joe deeply touched the lives of those around him and is loved by many. Joe was preceded in death by his father Robert Chute. He is survived by his wife Jamie, daughter’s Robin, Chandel, and Ashley, grandchildren Joshua, Jessica, Nathan, Toby and Annabella, sister’s Debbie and Jennifer, brother’s Craig, Marc, Daniel, David, Rick, Tony, Edward and James, and mother Theresa.

Joe dedicated his life to taking care of his beautiful family and building a legacy devoted to the Lord. Joe was a model machinist at Rockwell Collins/ Collins Aerospace building intricate parts for the aerospace industry for over 25 years. He received numerous awards from his company for his hard work and years of dedication.

Joe loved playing basketball and spent his free time teaching his daughter’s how to play and coaching their basketball teams. He enjoyed golfing, surfing, rock concerts, spending time with his wife and family, helping raise his grandchildren, taking care of his animals and loved the beach like his second home. Being from Massachusetts, Joe was a devout New England Patriots fan and loved attending games with his wife Jamie. Joe was baptized on March 31, 2013, together with his daughter Ashley, and began his journey of serving the Lord with his family.

In March of 2020, Joe was diagnosed with stage four cancer. He chose to fight the cancer as hard as he could by undergoing various chemotherapy treatments and radiation. He remained incredibly brave, courageous and optimistic throughout his nine-month battle.

Joe was such a friendly, kind-hearted, loving and generous man. He was always there when you needed him and took care of others first. Joe was a man of many jokes and he loved laughing. He made it a priority to make others smile and laugh in all circumstances, also. Joe was a role model for his children and their children, and his legacy will forever carryon.

    Family,
I’m so so sorry to hear of Joes passing. I wish I could’ve seen him before he passed. I called him a few days before Christmas and I am so grateful I had the chance to talk with him. I will always remember Joe as being really happy and full of laughter. I know this is a difficult time, but I do know he is free from his pain. I hope you can find comfort that he can rest now. I love you all and I pray for strength and comfort for everyone.

I'm so sorry Paige Family to hear of Joe's passing. I've had the pleasure of working with him for 20 years, and always enjoyed bumping into him in the hallway to catch up with him (and his family, which he was so proud of). His infectious smile could be seen easily down the corridor. He was also always willing and eager to help when an emergency popped up. Joe will be dearly missed. RIP my friend!

  4. Michael Packard says:

I worked with Joe for more than 20 years. He was always quick with a smile, even bigger when the Patriots bet teams I like! I always enjoyed our coffee machine chats, and appreciated his help when we needed a part reworked or something. Joe was incredibly friendly, I don’t think he ever passed someone without a smile and hello. He will be deeply missed

  5. Stacie Jones says:

It was always a pleasure chatting with Joe at work.  I would run into him in the cafeteria or in the front lobby mostly, coming or going.  He would always greet you with a warm smile and pleasantries.  His positive demeanor, fighting spirit and passionate stories made it easy to get along with him.  He spoke so highly of his lovely wife and children, always sharing about his pride and joys.  He loved them all so very much and you could tell from the stories he shared.  Especially if he had something planned for his wife or family or shared how great his kids/grandkids were and what they were up to.  I'll never forget how during one of our open houses one year, he explained all about the machine shop and showed my kids and I some cool demos.  I'll also always remember him as the biggest, if not the #1 Patriots fan EVER!  He was a good guy and will be sorely missed.  Bless you Joe, may you rest in paradise!
