Janet lived in La Center, Washington

Janet was born January 23,1955 to Edward, and Helen Todd in Portland Oregon.
She attended Humboldt Elementary, Okley Green Middle School, and Jefferson High School, where she was part of the dance team.

Janet worked for the Bank of California for several years. Janet then moved to Seattle, and started working for United Airlines, where she fell in love with traveling, and the industry. Always a visionary, she began to plan a dream vacation for her mother, and father; flying them to Hawaii. This was her passion. The look of fulfillment, and joy in seeing the dreams of others being fulfilled by hook, or by crook.

She loved hair, and makeup. Her hobbies were crafting, and beading. Janet was always moving, and acting on business dreams. She worked as a makeup artist for Waves Hair Salon, and as a nail technician at Small But Jazzy, where she worked with her mother in law. She started her own travel company; Statements Cruise and Travel, incorporated a clothing line, and sold designer handbags. She later started a successful food cart called Touchdowns that led to two more carts. Janet later opened her own hair salon called Savvy 360, and in the later part of her life she worked for Urban League of Portland. She was truly a jack of all trades, and a boss at them all.

She married Shawn Hames June 24th, 1989. They have three children:  Mr Anthony E. Wilson Jr; Arizona, Mrs Anise L Jackson; Oregon, Mr Ahman S. Hames; Oregon.

Janet loved to travel, help others, and had a great love of all people, and Jesus Christ. She leaves to celebrate her life her husband of 37 years Shawn, her children; Anthony, Anise, and Ahman, her three grandchildren; Kalise, Santana, and Levi, her siblings; Edward Todd, Debra Elizondo, Andrea Todd Ferguson, and Gregory Todd, a host of nieces, and nephews, cousins, and friends, her mother, and father in law; Brenda and Pastor Michael Weaver.

My heart skipped a beat when my musician friend Shawn Hames introduced me to this beautiful lady around 1985. I watched my guy grow up over night and I knew it was because of her. When she walked into a room, it seems like the entire planet halted because of Janet. Simply amazing person. She will be missed sorely but with wonderful memories.

I am the older brother of Janet. I missed many years of her life but I loved as though we never missed a day. I remember our father told me I had a little sister on the way. I couldn't quite understand what she was going mean in my life but it was a lot. I hope our family can remember all the good things about her. My wife and I both saw her strength. Well we will remember her and keep her in our prayers.
