There is no greater inversion of justice than this loss. I cannot imagine the bleakness, but don’t forget the community of friends that support you. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that if you want to get away, that you’ll never be turned away from our door.

I don’t know any words that I could say to even ease your pain for a little while. Please just know you are loved and supported and that you have a vast network of friends to help hold you up when you feel you cannot do it anymore. I cannot believe that you have to navigate through this nightmare. I hope you can find comforts in the love you have for each other, the love your friends have for you, and the precious and exquisite love you have for Evi. I also hope you two know that every friend you have would be more than willing to talk, hug, cry, and sit in total silence with you.
Knowing how awesome you two are, everyone was so excited to watch Evi grow: to watch her quick little mind help her become bilingual, for her to easily outpace her schoolmates thanks to her parents genetic gifts, to watch her beautiful dark hair grow long and wavy. If I feel like this, I can’t even begin to think how you’re feeling.
