Obituary

Pet sitter, Professional Organizer, Caregiver, and an astonishingly "Creative Lady", Bonnie Jane Atchley passed away March 29th 2022 at the age of 75 of natural causes while visiting her sister in Salem Oregon.

Bonnie was born to Margaret (Peg) and Chester (Chet) Jacquemin in Seattle, Washington.

After graduating high school, she met her first husband Eugene Nansel, together they had two children, David and Danny.

Bonnie and Eugene divorced in the mid 1970’s and she later remarried Larry Atchley. Together they had one son; Dustin.

Bonnie, being the creative lady that she was, spent time doing arts and crafts and networking with her friends on numerous different projects, including a business venture in Montana with the Trim family. She also spent numerous years helping the Osborn Family at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe, Washington, as well as spending time in the Skagit Valley working with the Rosenstein family.

In life, mom was a free spirit, not tied down and not committed to just one thing. She was always traveling to her next “gig”, her next pet/house sitting commitment, her next visit with friends, family, grandkids, and great grandkids. Mom was unique in her life, always sharing herself with whomever needed it and always offering to help when and where she was needed. She was a friend, sister, second mom, grandma, & confidant to so many.

David, Danny and Dustin, the “Three D’s”, had conversations with mom in recent years, like: What do you want, mom? How would you like to be cared for near the end of your life? Mom simply said, “Prop me up next to a tree on the top of a mountain and leave me be. Don’t fuss over me, don’t dote over me, just let me go peacefully.”

Mom has gotten her wish and she passed peacefully without any long-term doting or fussing (although, the end didn't come at the top of a mountain).

Please celebrate our mother’s life in the way that speaks to you. We all know she would want us to celebrate her life and not mourn her passing.

Let your wings set you free. We love you mom.

She dances to the songs in her head, speaks with the rhythm of her heart, and loves from the depths of her soul.
