Amber Dawn Papenfus, age 50, passed away in her home in Albany on December 24, 2022. She is survived by her son, Jaden Rhys Wells, and her parents, Donna and John Cereghino, uncles Bernard Papenfus and his wife Eileen and their daughter Tammy; Douglas Rouse and wife Glenda and his children, Jennifer, Jamie, Todd and Toby; Gary Papenfus and his children, Julie and Aaron, step-sisters and brother Denise Finkle, Mark Cereghino, Heather Ruvalcaba, Tiffany Cereghino, and Amber Cereghino, and Chris D’Angelo, her roommate, and companion.
Her funeral will be January 6, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home, 134 Missouri Ave. S, Salem OR 97302. Viewing at the funeral home will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m.

Although we had a rocky start
I always knew of her big heart
With a smile as lovely as her name
To this earth abound she came
Venus Polaris Pléiades Mars
She’s soaring now amongst the stars
We had a connection of mystic sorts
Ethereal friendship, I’d like to report
The metaphysical side of her
Was spiritual in nature and I’m sure
The student has become the teacher
And anytime we want to reach her
Just gaze into the blue night sky

I’m so sorry. I’ve often thought about Amber over the years.
Donna, John, & Jaden...
We are so sorry for your loss that words can't even begin to express the sorrow we feel. Amber's smile only shows a part of how beautiful she was. The world has definitely lost a part of it's shine. 🙁
Amber was such an amazing woman, and she will truly be missed by all.
