Vera LaTourrette

Vera LaTourrette, age 94, died on 1/1/2020 just 10 days before turning 95. Vera was born 1/10/1925 in McLainesville, Illinois and was the youngest child of her family. Her parents were Mansfield (Mac) Atteburry and Adelaide Atteburry. She moved to Oregon after marrying Wayne Charles LaTourrette Sr. They owned a small business in Talent Oregon and lived in Ashland. During this time she was active in the Ashland Flower Club and Toastmasters. After retirement Vera spent 15 years in Medford volunteering as a foster grandparent with Head Start, as away to give back to the community. For the last 10 years she has lived in Salem with family.

She is survived by three children: John LaTourrette of Medford, OR; Wayne Charles LaTourrette Jr. of Grants Pass, OR; and Dixie West of Salem, OR. She is also survived by 8 grand children, 9 great-grand children and 2 great-great grand children.

As her 9 year-old great-granddaughter said "She loved big and lived long." Vera LaTourrette will be missed.
