I can still hear her laugh in art class. Always greeting me with a smile when I would see her at work. Always that coworker to dare me to play a trick on someone and laugh like it was my idea ha!
Lorinda was on my interview team 1998 for OSB, told the team to hire me because... well because I was a Bartender and I could handle anything LOL. 😉

You will be missed Lorinda, thank you for saying hello before you left. HEAVEN gets the best of them. Please say hello to my dad for me

  3. Jackie Wells says:

I remember Lorinda would have the students and staff sing Happy Birthday to me in the dining room during lunch at "OSB", when it wasn't my Birthday. Loved that special lady.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Lorinda for the last 6 years, but I knew her as one of the hardest working women around. She was one of the first people to welcome me when I started working for the state. I am so sorry she left you all so soon... What an absolute pleasure it was to have known such a wonderful light and beautiful soul that was Lorinda. My heart broke hearing of the news. I hope you all find comfort soon.

I loved Lorinda. She was caring and was rare in that she was always honest with me while giving me often needed advise for improving myself. She worked hard, loved her family and was so knowledgeable about so many things. I cant think of a sole that could speak badly of her. Most of all i love the respect and love she gave her students.
To her family I am so sorry. To Lorinda I'm glad you didnt suffer and are at free of pain.

Stacy, Jeff and families I am very sorry for your loss. It's so sad. She was a very wonderful loving Mom and Grandmother who loved her kids and grandkids so much. Her mission in life was helping all of them anyway she could. ❤ We too lost a very special friend and co-worker, oh yes we did. Lorinda was a very special friend yes she was! Our leader of the Turtles Our little special group. She could makes us laugh, sometimes laugh until we cry. Her sense of humor was so unique, we had lots of great times at work and away from work too. She worked so hard for her retirement .. Such hard worker and dedicated. I have never known anyone else who would work 7 days a week, week after week, 7am - 6pm every day of the week. Working for retirement, she was on a mission she would say. And then she only got 10 months of that retirement. Darn it!! Talk about poop on her picnic!! Lorinda you left a huge foot print in my heart ❤ and I will truly miss you dearly, I already do. We had places to go and things we were going to do .. Thanks for the good times and the great memories we have. RIP Lorinda Macomber .. Gone but not forgotten.
