Obituary

Linda Kay Bush, age 74, of Jacksonville, OR passed away in Salem Oregon May 26, 2017 from the progression of Alzheimer’s.  Linda was born in Grants Pass OR to Kay (Knox) and Martin Hillman, June 7, 1942.  She graduated from Grants Pass High School class of 1960. She was a fifth generation Oregonian and a lifelong resident of Josephine and Jackson counties. Linda and her husband Kenneth J. Bush owned and operated L & K Antiques, Jacksonville from the 1963 until June 2016, when the business was closed.  They traveled the Pacific Northwest gathering antiques and collectibles for their business and.  They also attended many antique shows throughout the Pacific Northwest until 1992. Linda loved her husband, family and cats.  She took in numerous stray cats over the years and they became her inside babies.  Linda and a few of her friends took care of the feral cats in Jacksonville making sure they were fed, spayed or neutered, yearly shots and was given medical care as needed.  

 In her youth she was active with the Junior National Rifle Association; she was very competitive and an excellent shot. She won many metals! Later in life she taught her step-daughter Kathy how to shot, store and use a gun properly. Linda also had a love for softball and was on the Jacksonville Ladies Team in the 710's to 90's. 

Linda had a love for horses and dogs as well. She enjoyed riding her horse!

Linda is preceded in death by her husband (Kenneth (Red) Bush),  parents (Marty & Kay Hillman), Step-son (Dennis Bush), her grandparents.  She is  survived by her brother Martin Hillman Jr, (Margie) of Grants Pass, her step daughters Kathy Smith of Salem, Donna Korte of Winston, step-son Kenneth J Bush (Terry) of Coquille, daughter-in-law Lori Bush of Winston.

She has 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  She has cousins in Portland, Central Point, Reedsport and  Winchester Bay., Yuba City and Chico California.

In lieu of flowers Linda has requested donations to Cats @ 104 N Ross Lane in Medford, Oregon 97501 or Southern Oregon Humane Society @ 2910 Table Rock Rd, Medford, Oregon 97501

 At Linda's request there was no funeral service instead she has been placed with her husband. 

 The family would like to thank Johnson Funeral Home in Salem, Oregon for helping us at our time of need.
