He always cared about old classic cars that he started collecting them. He used to race his 1956 Chevy Bel-air in drag racing. He was also a faithful member to multiple car clubs. Attending many car shows. He was a self taught mechanic. He was very proud of the 18 wheelers that he would drive and how many trailers he could attach to the cab and drive through town.

He was a loving and Caring Husband and Father. He was also a very reliable friend. He will be greatly missed. We will always remember his favorite saying “Google It”, as if that is the answer to everything. His riding buddy Chiquito will always remember their drives to Texas and back to Oregon. Anytime you would need to find him, he was always sitting at his computer looking at old cars.

He fought a good fight. Now he will be waiting for us. Until we meet again, Dad. Love you always.

Messages of Sympathy

  1. Billy Davis says:

I worked for Western Farm Service for 30 years, which is a farm fertilizer and chemical company, and then I worked 10 years for Brooks Hardware. I've known Felix for at least 40 years. I think I first met him when he worked for Odin Hollin as a mechanic on the farm.

Felix always had a smile and never seemed to be in a giant hurry. He always seemed to be in a good mood and would tease me about something. I've seen his little '56 Chev several times. Felix was really proud of that car and it was always clean as a pin.

After working for a few different farms, he went to work for the wrecking yard where they specialized in Cougar cars, and he seemed to really enjoy that job, hunting them down and bringing them in and fixing them up or parting them out.

I got to see Felix quite a bit when I worked for the hardware because he was always looking for some kind of odd nut or bolt.

One time I had a Toyota pickup and the transmission went bad and I was trying to put a new one in it. For some reason I just couldn't get it to go in properly and I was telling Felix about it and he said, "I'll come by this weekend and take a look at it for you." It took him about 10 minutes to figure out what I was doing wrong and in it went.

If you were a friend of Felix's, you were always a friend. I'll really miss Felix. He was a good man.
