Obituary

Dixie Rose Patterson, beloved daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Friday February 24, 2017.  She was 70 years old.

Dixie lived a full life surrounded by good friends and faithful church members.  She was born September 19, 1946 in Hailey, Idaho.  She was the 2nd of five children born to parents Ralph and Ivazie Patterson.  The family moved all over Idaho following wherever their father's work in construction took them.  They eventually moved to Oregon where Dixie graduated from Lebanon High School in 1965.  She worked at the Stayton and Salem canneries for 30 years.

Dixie loved to go out to eat at just about any place.  She played the piano, and she loved adult coloring books, and crocheting.  But most of all, Dixie loved being around her family and friends; that is what brought her the most joy in life.

She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Her friends in the Royal Oaks ward, particularly Lynda Falk, meant the world to her.  She appreciated their friendship and help.  She enjoyed the company of her friends at Kindred Hearts Foster Care Home, and her co-workers at the cannery as well.

She is survived by her siblings Kim (Susan) Patterson, Kevin Patterson, and Paralee Atkins.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother Kent Patterson.

Dixie had a deep rooted faith and her life will be remembered by family, friends and other church members at her memorial service.  The service will be held Saturday March 11, 2017 at 11am.  She was a wonderful woman who will be missed.
