Messages of Sympathy

  1. Caroline Baker says:

Dave would text me after each OSU Women's basketball game, discussing the good and the bad of the game. The season is almost over, and I have missed our texts. Condolences to his family. I'm sure he's still watching his OSU teams from above.

  2. Howard Kirkland says:

In January, 2007, a stranger to the area, waiting at the put-in for the Clackamas River, hoping to hook up with some local paddlers, I was relieved when Dave Werth and his friend Tom Barrow drove up and asked me if they could paddle with me. Little did I know that this encounter would grow into a great and enduring friendship. During the ensuing 12 years or so, Dave and I have shared many wonderful river trips, as well as our ongoing correspondence.

Dave was a loving and caring friend, and took great joy in sharing his river knowledge and skills with his many friends. I will remember him with love and deep gratitude, and will miss him very much.

  3. Teresa Roundy says:

My deepest condolences. So many fond memories on the river with Dave and he will be missed.

  4. Ken and Jan says:

He was bigger than life and a man for all seasons. He was loved so deeply and we grieve with your family. As Bill said, "Float in peace" and you are, Honey.

  5. Bill Tanger says:

I figure if there is a heaven, Dave will be there drift-boating along in his yellow raft kicked back with feet up and gazing at the fabulous canyon geology.
Dave, we may have missed some trips on the water, but we also floated a whole lot together and lived some wonderful days. Float in peace, my friend...

  6. jordan s says:

My deepest condolences to the family for your loss.Truly heartbreaking. Our Heavenly Father gives us a beautiful thought when He promises us that soon death will be "swallowed up forever." (1 Cor. 15:54) Along with this, God also guarantees that ones who have died will be able to live again. (John 5:28,29) I hope these encouraging scriptures can bring you some comfort during this difficult time.

  7. Marty says:

I am so sorry for your loss. May the words of our loving heavenly Father bring your family comfort and strength during this most difficult time as He promises to bring our loved ones back to life in a perfect world where there will be no more suffering or death (John 5:28-29 & Revelation 21:4).
