Obituary

Carolyn Ann Gipson ( Rockwell) passed away Tuesday, March 10th at 76 years old peacefully in her home.

This beautiful, loving woman was survived by her husband Mark Gipson, sisters Linda Smith (brother in law Gary), Sandra Freeze, and she also had a baby sister Jackie that had passed away in 1986, and brother John (Rocky) Rockwell (sister in law Pat). She had five kids, a son Robert Schueller wife Jan, and four daughters Sherri Woodard husband Roger, Tammy Wilson fiancé Dean, Tonya Schueller and Dawn Davis husband Darryl. As well as a baby Christina Rene Schueller she lost at birth. Step children Edward, Mark, and Benjamin Gipson. Grand children including 2 that have passed, Melody, Christopher, Scott RIP, Justin, Charles, Daylen, Jonathan, Tasha, Marrissa, Robert, Alicia, Heather, Andrew RIP, Jordan, Joshua, Kaila, Jacob, Alexeyah, Tayesean, Amber, Shyanne and Kristian and Great grandchildren including one that passed. Brayden, Brielle, Tanner, Cheyanne, Chealse, Vincent, Kaylee, Betty-Jo, Xyzavior, Evanjalena, Lillianna, Robert, Anthony, Emmera, Elijah, Olivia, Madison, Hannah, Kaylee, Makenna Paisley, Mayliah, Izayah RIP, Eli, Livvi, Takoda, Charlie, and Heston.

She was born in 1943 in New York City, New York and moved to the west coast shortly after where she married had children and lived until she settled in Salem, Oregon around 1979 and met Mark in 1988. They married in 1989. They just celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on February 21st of this year.

They resided on the Meadowlawn Golf course where she enjoyed to golf. She belonged to The Ladybugs Golf Team. This was her favorite summer time activity. She also liked to play bingo, bunco, bowling and loved vacations to Mexico and cruises. The most important thing to her above everything was spending time with her family doing anything.

She also was a big animal lover! She was called the Cat Lady because she took in strays and fed them. She has had several pets through the years. She was loved by everyone and Mom and Grandma to all! She ran a daycare for many years and those kids to this day think of her as Grandma. She was there for anyone and everyone that needed her no matter what. She has always put everyone else first before herself her entire life. She will forever be missed by all and forever in our hearts!
