Obituary

Aaron touched many of our lives. Some knew him for a brief moment, some for his entire life; all of us blessed to have known him. Aaron was a loving, talented, adventurous, strong willed individual who lived life on his own terms. He felt most at home climbing mountains and scaling rocks— nature was in his soul. He accomplished many things during his short time on this Earth, one of his most proud achievements being his children, Chloe and Samuel. He loved his family fiercely and with his whole heart. Aaron would want to be remembered for that.

Aaron used to say, "The best view comes after the hardest climb” and I believe that is true for him now. He battled life until the end, and now he is resting peacefully, enjoying the view from heaven.

Messages of Sympathy

  1. Mike Doane says:

I knew Aaron in high school and college. I admired his determination and his skill and the way he approached things. He seemed never into being flashy or boastful, but—instead—he had a “core” to him (i.e. he was someone who cared about steadily working to do a good job at what he was doing). Seeing Aaron in the halls—his friendliness and willingness to stop and say “hi”--always made the day better.

  2. Susan Lovell says:

Dearest Family..... After seeing the oil painting completed at a young age for his grandparents in Coos Bay, I was aware of the admirable talent Aaron possessed. He is at Peace, but leaves many wonderful memories.... may your hearts heal knowing his love for family, music, life were part of his true makeup. It is my loss not knowing your loved one. A friend of Grandma Naida.... Love and Blessings, Dorwin and Susan Lovell

  3. Pat "jarhead" Rahm says:

Forever in the hearts of your CC brothers and sisters.

  4. Elizabeth C. McFarland says:

I knew Aaron and Kelsey and the beautiful son and daughter he loved so much. I am praying for peace and comfort for his family. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

  5. Simon Scott says:

Aaron was a good man. I am deeply saddened that he is gone.
My Heart goes out to everyone who knew him and loved him. RIP my friend.

  6. Naida HEDGEPETH says:

As The first born--and for several years the only-- grandchild in a family with four sets of grandparents, Aaron was beloved, cherished and the focus of much enjoyment. His life encompassed many accomplishments in the field of music--especially as a trumpet player in junior high school. His love for his family and their many pets and critters continued throughout his life. He will be deeply missed.

  7. Johnson Funeral Home Staff says:
